Some moments are too precious to be forgotten, and Holi has gifted us countless such memories over the years. Today, a memory from ten years ago popped up on my feed, instantly transporting me back to that vibrant day—laughing, celebrating, and watching our little ones revel in the joy of Holi.
What began as a heartfelt tribute to my father after we lost him to cancer has evolved into a beloved tradition, one our family and an entire community have warmly embraced.
Honoring My Father’s Legacy
Holi was my father’s favorite festival. He cherished its spirit of togetherness, joy, and giving back. Inspired by his love for this celebration, we started organizing our own Holi event, unaware that it would blossom into something so meaningful. Over the years, this event has become more than just a celebration—it has become a true homecoming.
Our children grew up watching us pour our hearts into planning each Holi, and as they grew older, they didn’t just participate—they actively joined our planning team. They weren’t alone. We’ve watched children from hundreds of families grow up alongside ours, their laughter and colors filling the park year after year. One unforgettable memory is of a young boy who attended our very first Holi, timidly holding his mother’s hand, covered head-to-toe in color. This same boy, now a confident teenager, is volunteering this year to welcome new families, continuing the beautiful cycle of community spirit.
Standing Strong, Together

This tradition would never have thrived without the unwavering support, passion, and tireless efforts of our friends and volunteers. Even when we faced significant financial challenges last year, our community’s spirit never faltered. Thanks to the love, dedication, and generosity of our Holi family, the tradition lives on stronger and brighter than ever!
